I'd like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Randy Guidry owner of Guidry's Roofing, Siding & Sheet Metal Works. I'd like to dedicate this segment to my father, Morris Guidry. He taught me that anything in life can be achieved if you put your mind to it.
I started learning the construction business while helping my father at a very young age. I can remember my first job nailing roof shingles in a neighborhood where I grew up. I remember the days when I worked for a friend by the name of Poche Adams. At that time I was paid .04 cents per square ft. or $4.00 per 100 square foot. Anyways, my point is that you had to nail an awful lot of shingles just to make a few dollars back in the 70's. Years after, before going on my own, I worked for a roofing contractor out of New Orleans averaging three roofs per week.
